A Word from the Deputy Principal Student Life (DPSL)
It is my pleasure to welcome the new and old students to our esteemed Tangaza University College for another exciting academic year. The department of DPSL exists to provide a warm and homely environment for holistic transformation and helping our students body become a vibrant community of integrity.
It is my prayer that this year and the years ahead will afford you every opportunity to mature intellectually, spiritually, emotionally and socially. The Department of Student Life is eager to facilitate achievements of these goals, and with your cooperation and involvement we will no doubt be successful in that endeavour.
We also encourage you to bring what you are and what you have so that we can together be able to build a more civilized culture admirable to God and human community. I hope your stay here will be a happy and fruitful one.
This handbook is designed to help you adapt well to life in the College in order to make maximum use of the opportunities we provide for your personal development. It is intended to help you understand Tangaza University College better and to offer you some acceptable guidelines to which you can refer. It is to be used along with the Academic Handbook of each Institute and Library Handbook.
Inevitably, some of you will encounter situations that are not addressed in this handbook. If that happens to you, you will usually find that the offices of your Institute or Programme are in a position to guide you at any time, especially in matters pertaining to your studies and social life. The office of the Deputy Principal Student Life (2F1 and 2F2 in Imani House) is always at your disposal for seeking orientation on matters of general welfare.
Remember the office of the DPSL exists to facilitate your success, so we advise you not to let the opportunity pass by. As some say: “Time lost is irretrievably lost”. I take the opportunity once again to wish you every blessing in your studies and life in the College. Once more welcome to Tangaza University College, to learn and together grow into a community of integrity!
Fr. Daniel Karau,
Acting Deputy Principal Student Life
